Morrissey Meets Johnny Marr

August 31, 1978:

19-year-old Steven Morrissey is introduced to guitarist Johnny Marr at a Patti Smith concert.  

Years later, Johnny Marr will meet with Morrissey to start a band they will name The Smiths. 

August 31, 1997:

19 years to-the-day since Morrissey met Marr at a Patti Smith concert, Princess Diana dies.   

The death of Diana was foreshadowed on the album THE QUEEN IS DEAD by The Smiths.

 between Morrissey and Johnny Marr took place on the night of
 Thursday 31 August, 1978. 
 At the time Morrissey was 19 years old and unemployed.  His future
 partner was two months shy of 15 and still at school.  Both were
 nevertheless compelled to spend that evening under the same roof
 at Manchester's Apollo Theatre to witness a concert by New York
 'godmother of punk' and self-styled 'Field Marshall of rock 'n' roll',
 Patti Smith."

On August 31, 1978, Morrissey and Johnny Marr are first introduced at a Patti Smith concert four years before they start The Smiths. 
On August 31, 1997, Diana - queen of hearts - dies in a car crash foreshadowed on the album THE QUEEN IS DEAD by The Smiths.
