8th song on the album THE QUEEN IS DEAD:

VICAR IN A TUTU

The song (CANDLE IN THE WIND 1997) performed by Elton John in the church at Princess Diana's funeral is commonly identified by its opening line, "Goodbye England's Rose".

After its world premiere in the church at Diana's funeral, "Goodbye England's Rose..." (CANDLE IN THE WIND 1997) was immediately released on a CD single that was sold exclusively to collect money for Diana's charities.  Note that the cover of the CD used to collect the donation money for Diana's charities is a picture of a rose:

Correspondingly, in Morrissey's lyrics to VICAR IN A TUTU which are entirely concerned with the activities in a church, the only person mentioned by name is "Rose" and it is "Rose" who collects the donation money:

"...as Rose collects the money in a cannister..."
