Shortly after the death of Princess Diana, Morrissey was interviewed by correspondent Andres Lokko for the January 1998 edition of the Swedish music magazine POP:

Question:
“How did you react when you heard of Princess Diana’s death?”

Morrissey:
“It was so predictable.  It was expected. ...”

Of course, it is understood that Morrissey was only referring to the history of celebrities who have been killed in car accidents:

Morrissey: "It was so predictable.  It was expected.  Grace Kelly, James Dean, bla-bla-bla, and then Princess Diana."

Nonetheless, it is highly conspicuous that of all the countless celebrities who had publicly commented on Diana's death, Morrissey just happens to be the one who instantly blurted out these exact words when asked about Diana's death:

"It was so predictable.  It was expected."

It must therefore be suspected that whatever force was responsible for all the prophetic parallels between Morrissey's work and Diana's death is the same driving force that caused Morrissey to say of Diana's death:

"It was so predictable.  It was expected."
